April Showers
I can't believe it's already April! It's been really wet the last couple of days, and it's still a bit cold. It seems like spring is coming late this year, or at least later than everywhere else. No blossoms on the trees yet, just a few small early bloomers. It rained ALL DAY yesterday, but that spoiled pooch still got a walk after I got off work. It's actually light out when I get done working at 7pm! Yay! I think I'm ready for spring, it makes my work days seem shorter. :)Seneca went to Pennsylvania for 2 weeks to visit his dad and grandma. He left yesterday morning. It has been eerily quiet in the house, and Juneau already misses him terribly. I do too, but it's kinda nice not to have to clean up after anyone but myself. I hope to be super productive while he's gone. I gotta make all sorts of crafts for Hempfest, get ready for our yard sale at the end of the month, and get some projects done. So far it's going well, I got a good start on a Peace Coalition poster and the Hempfest logo & poster last night. The Hempfest one is pretty fun, when else can I plaster a poster with hemp leaves? :) Hopefully both of those will be wrapped up by the end of the week, and then I just gotta start on the Hempfest t-shirt. I haven't done much crafting lately either, other than making some new neclaces. I got some silver wire and started wrapping crystals to use as pendants. So now I need to use them on jewelry. I'm also going to make soap, candles, massage oils, body scrubs, and hopefully some baked goodies. I got some big fat hemp to make belts and dog collars, too. Juneau will be modeling one shortly.
I got the Co-op newsletter finished and it turned out great. The staff were apparently commenting on how nice it looked. YAY! It's good to be appreciated. I'm sure as I get more used to it, it will only get better. It's been a while since I've designed anything that large, but it's good to get some print design experience. I will have to post the Hempfest poster when it's finalized. The Hempfest committee wants to start posting it up by this weekend. Yay for fun projects! :)

Your birthday is coming up!! Send me a list of something cool you want. There's a lot of cool places in Portland I could find you something if I have an idea of what you'd like. There's a really cool tea place on 23rd that has exotic chais and mix-your-own teas. :o)
