Birthday

I had a pretty good birthday yesterday. I got lots of free beer and went out to the Red Door with Seneca. Then we went to the Garden, where I got more free drinks. There were some naughty friends of mine there who gave me some pretty weird drinks (ever heard of a backdraft?) that made me a little sick. At least this year I didn't puke all over the bar and I do remember the entire evening. Good thing I was 22, not 21, that was a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence. I did scrape my toes up on the way to the bathroom though, and now I'm a gimp. Ouchie!

I heard from lots of family and friends, thanks for the cards everyone! Most of my birthday presents were early, but that's ok, I still enjoyed them all!

The home stretch

Now that my BFA show is over, I am just wrapping everything up and getting ready to graduate. My portfolio is coming together and so is my web site, slowly... I'll be sending out my graduation announcements soon!

Last weekend I went to Seattle for our AIGA student group. We went to a portfolio review and toured 2 design firms. It was a blast! We not only got to learn lots of tips for getting jobs and get feedback on our portfolios, but we went to Pike's Place Market, Seattle Art Museum, the Space Needle, the Experience Music Project, and lots of cool restaurants in downtown Seattle. Fun times. I think I could live there, it was pretty cool other than the rain.

This weekend is Hempfest in Moscow, so I'm making all kinds of herbal products to sell. I'll get to use my "Peace Herbals" packaging that I designed for the first time. Hopefully I'll make some money at Hempfest since I'm pretty broke after eating out in Seattle all weekend.

Back to work, my web site is way too bare right now!
